This poster was commissioned as a request of custom glazed candlestick holders, known in French as bougeoir. This project was executed over several months by our fine arts specialist, Marie-Odette. The brief called for muted yet intricate designs that would complement the candlelight with color and pattern, while maintaining practicality and understatement.

These custom ceramic bougeoirs represent our firm's commitment to bespoke interior design pieces that bridge French artisanal tradition with American eclecticism. Each candlestick holder features hand-applied glazes in rich jewel tones—cobalt blue, forest green, burgundy, and slate—with ornate shell and foliate patterns that recall French Baroque decorative arts while maintaining an approachable, tactile quality. Crafted as boutique additions for a private residence, the collection demonstrates how small-scale objects can anchor a room's aesthetic narrative, functioning both as utilitarian lighting and sculptural accents. Our transatlantic approach honors Old World ceramic craftsmanship, such as the Manufacture nationale de Sèvres, while embracing the American appreciation for individualized, collected interiors where each piece tells its own story.
